“Hope. Glory. Disappointment. Setback. Fatigue. Satisfaction. Frustration. Achievement” Am I good enough? What else can I do? What if I fail? Am I done? Why am I doing this? Can I prove myself? How to deal with this pressure? Anxiety? Success? Failure? Is my career over? This is the type of questions/conversations that athletes have with themselves. I am not a 100 meter runner, I was in a team sport. Using 100m dash to explore athletes’ mental health is perfect a example. It’s just you against yourself and others, no one to lean on. But still, as an athlete who wasn’t really strong on the mental side(but quite about it), I was able to relate to this movie. Mental blocks such anxiety, self-doubt, and lack of confidence for a lot of athletes is a big problem and a lot of us don’t know how to deal with it. I am glad I was in a team sport because if it would’ve been individual, I don’t know if I would be able to be good at it. And this movie also discusses the fading side of an athlete and when it’s time to be done. Some athletes never achieve what they wanted or they get injured/unlucky. What is next? You put your whole life to achieve something, but you never get there. But again, this movie did a great job of showing that it is not the end or that it is not for nothing. Habits you develop, mental growth, people you meet, friends you make. This is what sports are! And it is not all about just the physical side of it Lastly, I cannot not comment on the animation. Like how can you look at it and not be amazed by the skill of the hand drawing? The effort that they put into these type of movies is incredible. Rotoscoping was sick too. From what I see from reviews, people that ran 100m dash say it is very much like that. If people in that sport say that, the animation then was on point!

Heavy and a hard topic to discuss, but why do you make it so boring? I can’t believe that Colin Farrell decided to do this movie, he did act well tho. The story is so so boring and was predictable

This movie is about my biggest fear. Last scene in this movie always gets me
