lin was insane for this i have so much to say but i can’t fit it all in a letterboxd review need to go back and see it on bway again soon🙏 it’s been like 8 years since i saw it last eliza’s gasp at the end gets me every fucking time fuck you lin manuel miranda why would you do this somehow the tiktok clips of its quiet uptown & who lives who dies always make me tear up but actually watching the full thing barely makes me cry 😭 still my eyes got a bit watery at the very end my favorite parts/standout moments i’ve thought about over the past 10 years: 1. in Satisfied - how you can see the scenes and everything that happened during Winters Ball & Helpless happen again from Angelica’s perspective 2. also the whole rewind scene is perfect 3. Washington on your Side (favorite song) - love this one but specifically the lyrics “fits of passion” and “pits of fashion” like are you serious 4. the concept of cabinet meetings being rap battles 5. the costumes but specifically Eliza’s and Angelica’s act 2 outfits paul tazewell the man that you are 6. the fuckass gasp they could never make me hate you lin manuel
