Wow. bro the entire movie I was thinking about how to write my letterboxd review because it was that good from the start. This movie is like the type of movie you show someone when you want them to really get into movies cause oh my god. I’m already into movies but this reminded me why I love them so much. This movie is clearly written and filmed with so much love and passion and its plastered all over on its soundtrack. The scene with I Lied to You had me almost ascending into the sky. Wow. Just #wow. The camera shots in that scene were literally insane, the costumes, THE DANCING. Oh dont joke lad. The tension in this film too HOOLLLY SHIT. I am incredibly easily startled and I got jump-scared in the very beginning thats how scared I am but phew holy shit the stakes were SO high. When Stack was killed. Just WOWWW. The acting was fantastic and holy shit the actress for Annie was impeccable, easily the best character she was soooo good. Stack being killed was when I immediately knew I MUST give this film 5 stars AND a heart. Like my eyes widened in joy. The suspense in knowing that he could wake up any moment, Annie slowly putting pieces together and suggesting moving the body, the gunshots in the heart of this ongoing party.. Ooooooooh cinema yes Cinema… Bro and when Stack wakes up. OMG i was peeking thru my fingers when they got that close to the door he JUST stabbed.. phew. AAAGHHH. Bro wow I simply must consume more vampire media cause I’ll be honest I never found them that scary SIMPLY because being a vampire sounds like heaven to me and is my ideal way to live. BUT! This movie was simply so gorey and detailed in the horrors of not only becoming a vampire but how it effects the ones around you where I’ve slightly reconsidered. I’d still like to be a vampire but maybe not as easily as I once thought. The cinematography for this movie was fucking insane like I wanted to make a gif set on tumblr so bad. Specific few shots that I loved were the beginning scene with Sammie walking into the church, Sammie (i think if i remember right.,,) Setting up the electric for the building with the blue dusk lighting up the sky and the orange light lighting up the electrical pole. um DROOL ALERT!!!! The scene where all the vampires are dancing together, the scene where Smoke is in the town, and finally the end where Remmic is hit in the head and the sun starts shining through… like YUM!!!!!! wow I just really liked this movie like sighhh bro. I just love love love watching movies where you can tell everyone involved just LOVED it. It deserves every award coming its way and at least 5 more. Im so glad I was able to watch this in Imax🙏🙏🙏
