3.5/5 in the best way possible This movie has a lot that works, but the same strengths it has is also its weaknesses at times. This movie is the best MCU example of integrating as many different characters they’ve built up in the same universe interacting with each other. It worked ~90% of the time, with only a couple moments in the movie where I was like “this is going on for far too long” Jon Bernthal IS Punisher. A perfect example of comic book-accurate casting getting justice on the big screen. Mark Ruffalo IS Hulk, but unfortunately the perfect example of the worst writing/story arcs I’ve ever seen for a hero. It’s a shame they wasted him through the years. #Justice4Banner Don’t *really* like how quickly Jean Grey was introduced and it was just “oh yeah we picked up her face it’s Jean”. I hope it’s not just a gimmick they don’t use. X-men deserves a great adaptation and deserves to interact with MCU characters in the future. This is Hollands best movie of the 4. The most authentic Spider-man, the most authentic New Yorker he’s ever been, the quippiest he’s ever been, etc. It really worked for him and I’m glad they gave him a competent movie. I really appreciate a lot of the homage they gave from different comic panels. Just feels like a guy who knows Spider-Man got full creative control of this movie and I’m very happy about that. This made $900m and counting OPENING WEEKEND. He’s gonna be Spidey for years to come. Zendaya beautiful. Sadie sink beautiful. On to the next
