The Thing

**32/365 ** As a longtime horror movie pussy, I told myself that ill stop being one this year and watch a ton of horror films. I think I did it wrong by watching The Thing as my first journey into the horror genre because I don't think anything will even come close to how good this is. The practical effects are out of this world and terrifying, to think a 22 year old made them is insane and makes me contemplate what im doing with my life. I also loved the paranoia of all of them trying to figure out who was infected and the entire cast was just great. I think my favorite part about this movie other than the effects was the ending, I LOVE ambiguous endings that dont really tell you anything and I cant wait to dig in to those fan theories of what might’ve happened. Anyways this is my favorite horror movie ever and a new favorite movie ever and its movies like these that makes me want to make movies.
