Snowpiercer

Bong Joon-ho's Snowpiecer (based on the graphic novel Le Transperceneige) is a unique, action packed film lead by a great cast of Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, John Hurt, Jamie Belle, Octavia Spencer, Alison Pill and more. The class separation between the lower and upper train where the elites live is unsurprising and is something you can believe would happen. Following Chris' character Curtis we see how the classes live and survive very differently, we see how they are treated as animals. The concept itself is interesting but the cast brings it to life with their vast personalities, even Swinton's Scottish accent brings forth some great characterization. You'd think there isn't much to aspire to when a film is set on a train and yet the set design was brilliant from the run down lower classes to the futuristic upper classes. The story, the suspense, the twists and turns, it's a bloody good film. The TV show with Daveed Diggs is also worth the watch.
