Ran
“A man is born crying. After he’s cried enough, he dies.”
“Saburo, you can’t die. I have tales to tell. Forgiveness to ask. Is this justice? Are you gone? … Senile old fool…”
“Are there no gods? No Buddha? You are cruel! Must you crush us like ants?”
Kurosawa tells a story like nothing i’ve ever seen before. The Silence, the Music, the color, the dialogue, the frame - people walking into it, people falling out of it.
Ran is a must watch.
