so many choices i don't understand?? i hate nolan's take on how odysseus sees the gods. they used to be in people's every day lives, they believe you could reach the gods and they could live among them in the mortal world. the whole "i defy the gods" is bsss second thing i hate is how they seem to know everything and not being led into traps fully. how could poseidon know it was odysseus? there was no "nobody" scene. why didnt circe try to keep odysseus? i wish they could parallel more because circe is supposed to protect her nymphs just like odysseus protect his crew. the mutiny didnt feel as impactful in apollo's island and omg NO GODS???? NO GODS?? the third act redeemed the movie EXCEPT for that fucking "here dad!" ahh avengers move i loved, loved, loved the body horror aspects with the cyclop design and circe turning the men to pigs sequence!! pattinson and matt damon carried the acting on their BACKS the score is great, my man jorge did it better tho the costumes (esp calypso's) are a hatecrime the sets are ugly, are we in wales? so grimy the over-explaining dialogues esp in the first act were really tiring the underworld felt like watching dunkirk (pejorative), the lack of gods made the movie feel so empty and uncomplete. nolan, you are not a warrior of the mind

whole cast was racially ambiguous healing after whatever the odyssey was

le film était pas en imax 70mm et pas assez réaliste à mes yeux :/ dommage that's not how nolan intended it

*"i had big dreams til i tied myself to you" *the movie
