Mirror

if i were asked to choose a film that best defines what life is, this film would always be my pick. if you ask me, i couldnt really make out what happened in the entire film. what i think i witnessed was just a series of seemingly random, unrelated events, and yet they were somehow seamlessly woven into one coherent sequence, a sequence that felt lucid and sometimes even intimate. this is why mirror is so special for me. tarkovsky creates a film that cannot be understood, only to be experienced, just as life...is meant to be. “If you look for meaning, you’ll miss everything that happens.” - Andrey Tarkovsky
