Get Out
Pros:
-Jordan Peele did a great job, especially for a first-timer
•Everything felt ambitious yet fulfilling
•This is possibly the best actor-turned-director film ever
-This was an effective horror movie
-Daniel Kaluuya was a great lead
•He seems like he needs a hug
-Lil Rey Howery grew on me
•I didn't like him at first, but he grew on me
-The score was pretty good
•It felt grand in scope while playing into that sense of creepiness and eerie
-That eeriness never goes away
-The immersion never breaks, and the insanity just piles on
-Stephen Root appears
-The acting all around was phenomenal
-I really appreciated how Daniel's character isn't oblivious to the situation
Cons:
-I missed this coming back to theaters last month
-I feel like the commentaries, while good and thought out, felt a little too in-your-face
-Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I heard Daniel Kaluuya's accent slip a lot
Overall if I could describe Get Out as a meal/food:
Awesome sauce
