I’m sorry they could just never make me hate this movie. The main characters mother dies, he stepdad tries to rape both her and her sister, to defend his sister she tries to kill him, misses, gets sent to an insane asylum. Turns out, the asylum is a front for an underground strip club. To cope with being in this situation she disassociates while dancing while her dancing is also used as a metaphor for the plan her and the other dancers are using to plan their escape?? i’m sorry like they ate tht. And she goes through all this pain and suffering watching people she cares about die over and over again just to get lobotomized so her friends can escape?? like hello?? Yea 5 stars would recommend if ur smart enough to rub two brain cells together to understand the symbolism and deeper meanings of their masterpiece.
