Quinten Henderson

This is definitely my favorite movie of 2026 so far. Been a fan of Curry Barker for a while and it’s nice to see his work come to fruition in such a big way like this. He knows what people are looking for in modern horror and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Of course there were cheap jump scares thrown in there, but there were also just some deeply unsettling moments. Barker said that he wanted to explore the Uncanny Valley and I think he did that perfectly. Some of the movements Nikki was doing, the screaming and crying, and the sudden changes in mood were just unnatural and uncomfortable and I love it so much. The ending was also amazing. I’ve seen some public discourse around oh “Bear was the victim” “no Nikki was the victim”. And first off if anyone is the victim it’s Nikki, but they are also just two victims to the situation. They were both victims to the One Wish Willow. Can’t wait for Curry Barkers next project. I left at halftime of the Pistons getting blown out in game 7 vs the Cavs and can confidently say that that was the right move.
