Longlegs
"I know you're not afraid of a little dark. Because you are the dark."
I am a pretty strange person with my tastes: I like sweet stories of love and friendship and thrillers about catching a murderer, adventures in fictional worlds and cops solving riddles, and movies that make me not want to leave their world and those that make me love living in a world where, at least as far as I know, that does not exist.
Longlegs is not a classic horror movie, feeling more similar to Se7en, Zodiac or True Detective where a group of two detectives must solve a case that borders on or is clearly paranormal with few clues and a lot of intuition, a thiller but a quite terrifying one especially because of its incredible camera management and lighting that generated a gloomy atmosphere and made us think that we needed to see something at all times.
The story has very interesting twists that I didn't expect and Longlegs is very scary in very little screen time and few shocking actions other than being very strange and awkward, I hated hearing him sing (if you can define that so) I loved this movie and that It's strange when I have expectations as high as this one, I wouldn't say it was a surprise since I didn't expect anything less from this movie.
