Your Name.
"Treasure the experience. Dreams fade away after you wake up."
I remember watching this movie one spring afternoon on Netflix with my mom.
I always liked anime thanks to my mother, and especially love or friendship stories like Gihbli's movies.
I love the style of this film, as it shows nature and urban cities, destruction, love and time. This film resonated with me so much that my photographs and 3D created environments are inspired by how this film shows us the city and the town.
The story is beautiful and full of heart, the price is "slow" but intriguing as you don't know everything about this film, especially because of that prologue that only generates questions and an impeccable development of the characters and the narrative.
But I like nothing as much as the visuals, that impacted me so much that I can not only compare it with Oscar-winning films for best cinematography, it is so unique, intimate and personal that I could not get it out of my head since that first time I saw it, I think this is the fifth time I see it and I never get tired of doing it
Although I adore 3D, no animated film in that style can be as visually good as 2D, surely it is due to a matter of budgets, times and quality to the point that the only film that I feel is coming close is Spideverse which I feel was a safe bet by Sony.
