I really enjoyed the atmosphere created. I think some of the cinematography was fantastic and the acting was also very good. I think those who dislike this movie are not appreciative of the skill needed to create some of these vibes. The found footage segments were the strongest element in my opinion (to be expected.) I was truly not disappointed.

It’s hard to articulate every aspect of this film that was perfectly executed. A crushing atmosphere, phenomenal performances, a solid score, uncomfortable, universally-relatable concepts that are twisted into obscene narratives. This shit was genuinely terrifying and simultaneously depressing and emotionally charged. A modern horror masterpiece.

Yet another modern horror movie that chooses to be an allegory for grief, I think that this film suffers from being atmospheric yet unoriginal. Some of this middle section was sluggish and didn’t maintain suspense properly. I think the folklore elements and entities are interesting but underutilized. The acting was solid and I did enjoy the setting and vibe.

I don’t think I fully comprehend everything happening but it was great with great performances.
