Sunshine
waited so long na maging available on digital 'yung movie na 'to and needless to say it was worth the wait because wtf ilang beses ako naiyak😭
from the depiction pa lang ng daily life sa pinas, the customs and norms we have, to the imaginary children representing the "could-have-beens", and also in a way, the girls' own guilt following them with every decision they try to make for a common situation that girls—especially the young ones—suffer through here sa bansa na 'to (not just the pregnancy itself but also the internal battles that come with religious guilt and having dreams beyond what other people would call as "a gift from God").
na-bother lang ako sa texting scenes because ang random ng pag-type sa keyboard, but hindi mo na talaga maiisip 'yon at present sa sobrang daming na-tackle for such a short film. and yet it was done so beautifully. the pacing was SO GOOD and i couldn't help but fall in love with the cinematography, the WRITING, the ACTINGGG because of how natural the lines were delivered. kudos kay direk at pang top 4 films na ata 'to !!
two takeaways for me dito: there's really no hate like christian love and seeing female solidarity in films will always make me cry. (pwede na 'to i-add sa films about girlhood bcs it would be my fav on the list).
