This in IMAX was a super special Birthday treat 😁 the team has a clear respect for the source material, resulting in each musical number being a marvelous display of sound, light, and motion. *Billie Jean*, *Human Nature*, and that final *Bad* number were easily the highlights, but all of them were genuinely special. I’ve always adored MJ and his music has carried me through some of my toughest days, so I feel incredibly blessed to have gotten the opportunity to catch the early access IMAX screening on my 18th. Not a perfect movie, but an experience I’ll never forget.

I don’t count this as a complete log because the site I was watching it on completely crashed halfway through, but I count that as a blessing because I adored this so much that I’d rather give it a proper watch on Blu-ray or a higher quality streaming. This is now a very high priority on my watchlist and Blu-ray WL.

Had an absolute blast watching this in IMAX with my Dad. We both adored the first watch and decided it was more than worthy of a *level up*. As much as I’d love to write some extensive review about how masterfully this film uses light, or about how crucial this optimism in todays age, or about how wonderfully written the character dynamics are, I genuinely feel that there’s nothing I can input besides begging you to watch this soul-nourishing eye candy in theaters while you still can. I had one of the best cinematic experiences in great company and a full theater. This is something I’m sure I’ll remember until I’m old and gray. When I want to see this for the first time, I made the tragic mistake of going to use the bathroom right in time to miss the scene where Grace *goes fishing* (those who’ve seen the movie know,) so being able to experience the colors fly around the screen during that scene for the first time on a wall-to-wall 76-foot IMAX screen was unbelievable. It made me a little emotional. In fact, a few scenes made me way more emotional than they did in standard. I’d also like to add that the Dune 3 trailer in IMAX was absurd. I’m more than excited for that.
