Logan

Since the first X-Men Wolverine has been on the most interesting and complex characters. Hugh Jackman continued to star in many movies including 2 of his own solo movies but none compare to Logan. A lot of superhero movies try to be both serious and funny but have a hard time making the humor not feel out of place with a dark tone. This movie succeeds in both so well, it’s so sad but managed to make me laugh with jokes that felt right with the characters and plot. Another main reason this received a 5 star rating from me was the strong and well executed themes of family, loss, dealing with the consequences of violence and just Logan’s overall mental health (because that man has gone through some shit). Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen deliver great emotional performances as their respective characters and I just can’t praise this movie enough.
