Late Shift

There were only 2 ways this could have been more realistic: 1. When they had that brief moment of laughter in the staff room a patient’s family should have told them off for laughing while people were suffering. 2. It should have gone for 10 hours and then repeated for at least 4 days a week indefinitely until you die because no one is retiring on a nurses’ salary in this economy.  Thank you to all nurses. You all deserve so much better. Governments manipulate healthcare workers by questioning their morality and altruism if they push back. I’m so sick of it. Fund healthcare like it’s the defence force. Support healthcare workers like they have been to war. God knows it’s the fucking trenches out there.
