Watching our characters turn into addicts is really kinda sad but throughout most of the movie I didn’t feel anything I had trouble feeling bad for these kids idc if that makes me sound insensitive or whatever. Towards the end of the movie i started to feel bad for jim seeing what he’s become and how desperate he is for a hit only thing he didn’t lose was his poems. The last like 19 minutes are pretty great but throughout the movie I didn’t feel anything and constantly found myself checking the runtime.

I love movies where most of it is filmed at night you have to watch this at night like that should just be a legal requirement. The mc is so uncomfortable to watch but it’s so good I hate this movie but in a good way. At first I didn’t like the ending but then it clicked and you realize it’s showing the reality we live in and I really like it for that. Someone pointed out how this is a critique on capitalism and once I looked deeper I saw it and it makes me appreciate this movie so much more. It shows us how you have to exploit the poor to elevate yourself and he does that so well because he can’t connect to humans he uses that to his advantage to get ahead and in the end he wins like in real life.

This went from a 6 to an 8 real quick 😭 not a lot of spooks that made me jump by the atmosphere and the suspension was really good especially towards the end. Soundtrack as always is amazing, I really love the twists this movie pulls you’re constantly on your toes trying to figure out what’s real and what isn’t. Watching the our mc slowly fall apart dealing with the entirety and her responsibilities as a celebrity I hope they make a 3rd film but that seems very unlikely.

This movie was so ahead of its time it’s genuinely mind blowing it touches on so much on whether was makes a relationship real. It shows loneliness and the crave of human touch the crave for connection all of us just want to be loved. Yet it also shows the fears of vulnerability the closer you get to what you want the more vulnerable you become and that’s scary. If I met the girl of my dreams i think I’d run away because I’m scared. I could go on and on about how beautiful this movie is and I find it really upsetting when people don’t understand the movie I know it’s not that deep but I still find it annoying. The cinematography and soundtrack is amazing it was shot so beautifully and the music was perfect I’m so glad i watched this movie now compared to back then this is something some people just won’t understand and I know a younger me wouldn’t have gotten it. 10/10 masterpieces
