Nightcrawler

jake gyllenhaal. wow. where do i even start, i personally think this is his best performance, he plays lou bloom, a sociopathic, manipulative man who becomes increasingly obsessed with success as the movie progresses, so much that he willingly ignores the moral and ethnic boundaries just so he could progress his career of freelance journalism, “night-crawling”. he plays him so well that it genuinely makes you feel uncomfortable. this movie shows the medias obsession with interesting stories and the lengths that people would go just to cover it, in pursuit of success.
