Waves
such an emotionally intense film, this movie does a really good job on portraying the characters emotions, making you feel like you’re experiencing the emotions with the character. the acting in this movie is so phenomenal that the characters and their personas feel so natural.
the first half is chaotic and suffocating in a good way, the film unexpectedly shifts, it shows how the rest of your life can change from just one moment, one mistake, one decision.
the second half is about healing, forgiveness and dealing with grief, it heals you from the first part of the movie. the family learns to live with what happened rather than trying to erase it and that there is in fact light at the end of the tunnel. the character development is amazing, the actors play their roles so well.
Taylor Russel and Sterling K. Brown are such phenomenal actors, his character development is my personal favourite with the way he accepts he could’ve been a better father.
“holding onto that much hate will destroy a person”
