Yi Yi is my second Chinese movie and I’m not disappointed. Even if 3 hours is too much, I enjoyed the movie and the silence of the scenes.
I felt like Edward decided to make most of the shots static to makes us feel like we are just the spectator of their life, and the windows shots helps it even more almost making us feel like we’re not supposed to be there.
I loved the relationship between NJ and Sherry and felt really affected by it.
I believe if you love cinema it’s important to try movies of this kind to expand your knowledge.
