Bottoms

BEING AT THE BOTTOM HURTS! ** ** bottoms is in my opinion the best or one of the best queer films ever made. to be completely honest, it's just the female-queer version of fight club. it blends comedy, chaos, and romance all into one awesome, funny, and fantastic film.  bottoms starts off with the two loser girls, pj and josie, pining over brittany and isabel. due to their concerningly low social status at school, they have to somehow make brittany and isabel fall in love with them, they decide to start a club for females to learn how to defend each other. i would like to say that ayo and rachel were OVERQUALIFIED for their generation and age. i feel like most people would say actors and actresses who aren't like 40 right now aren't good at acting, but they KILLED it. this film was sooo snubbed out of every single thing possible. emma's such a fun director, and i love her movies. they're always so unhinged, hilarious, and unnecessary but in the best way possible. i really am waiting until emma's hopefully an oscar-nominated AND winner for best directing for one of her films. we need to make more films like this because everything's so sad and intense now, we need something hilarious and ridiculous like bottoms more often. don't get me wrong though, i LOVEEE sad dramas, but this should be normalized too.  anyways, i'll always glaze bottoms because it's one of the best films i've ever watched.
