Hereditary
Had to give it a rewatch as I couldn't grasp anything at all when I first watched it. But after watching it the second time and understanding it, there is a huge gap in appreciation and bewilderment than the first time I watched it. Rewatching it is the best thing I did as I fully understood the whole lore of the family and everything. The subtle attention to details from the very beginning of the movie is just beyond perfection. Had I the capability of noticing and understanding the movie initially and all by myself, It would have been way more thrilling. And the art of making your audience terrified without a single jumpscare scene is what we need nowadays. Obviously this movie won't leave you shivering and trembling but it just sends tremors through your body by making you think and realize the atrocities happening in the movie. And finally the performances of the crews. Honestly Toni Collette (The mother) had the potential to win an Oscar with this film or at least a nomination. Her performance was beyond Elegant. And also felt bad for the father, he died way unexpectedly. I was really pondering how the whole chain of events could have been avoided, maybe if peter didn't take his sister to the party everything would have stayed Normal but still it really would have not been Normal in any way. At the end of the day it's in their blood, its Hereditary.
