I really love movies, but i pretend to have no time for them while i doomscroll all day <3

I’m actually impressed by this. Sure, the plot was a bit loose and that one CGI scene was… terrible. But the emotional core and Frank Castle as a character worked so damn well. The fight scenes were good, not great, and I wish we got a bit more variety in the kills. Still, this feels like a classic Punisher setup that could lead the character into many interesting directions. It’s refreshing to see a grounded street-level story in the middle of all that multiversal bullshit.

This movie sucks. A lot. The beginning is horrible and tries way too hard to be edgy, and the ending goes completely over the top. That being said, I'm usually a sucker for movies like this, and there actually were moments I liked. The scene where she cried in bed genuinely made me feel her emotions. Another thing the movie does surprisingly well is making the viewer hate Celeste, because she's honestly such a horrible bitch. Besides the credits using "Girl, so confusing," those are pretty much the only redeeming parts of the movie.

This movie worked really well for me. It’s a great starting point for the X-Men and also stands strong as its own movie. Mystique was the standout character for me, even though it felt like she had a thing for a lot of people throughout the film. The ending hits pretty hard as well. Great cast and a fire score.

It’s been some time since I last watched this, and since I’m at the start of my “Road to Doomsday” challenge, this was a movie I was curious to revisit after many years. I really enjoyed the 1940s vibe and the WWII aesthetics, as well as Red Skull and the Tesseract. The movie mostly exists to build up Cap for The Avengers and is easy to forget in the bigger context of the MCU, especially with a much more appreciated follow-up film. Still, this movie is kind of underrated and is really decent in all the right ways. A solid start to such a long journey, even if it’s not great.
