Kinda super weird but good. Very different maybe that’s why it won awards

Love the story, the set, cried a little, laughed a little. thought lot. People like her are how a lot of us got to the US - a more privileged immigration story. it shows how it is still hard to leave everything behind but also how exciting it is to be somewhere new and build a new life. Made me think about why some people decide to leave behind comfort and loving family for totally unfamiliar places on their own just for a chance at having your own life.

I liked it bc it was a good critique of dating in NYC and modern love but there wasn’t a lot of character development like it wasn’t the best movie ever but it did make me think. Also all the neighborhood shots so pretty!
