Cure

I went into this blind at the Music Box on Halloween, my expectations were that I’d enjoy and nothing more. Not only did I love this movie, I caught myself mesmerized at times. The hypnotic drone sounds, the colors, the creeping sense of dread, and emotion expressed by characters (sometimes hauntingly silent). It’s all simple and straightforward but hits with more blunt impact than an over-the-top, jump scare-filled movie with grotesque monsters born out of our nightmares.
