DumbLand

I haven’t seen anything David Lynch in quite a while, so I thought I’d check this out. I’ve been meaning to watch DumbLand for a long time now and even though it’s REALLY weird and REALLY dumb, there are certain things about it that I loved. I’m not entirely sure what this is categorized as, I think it’s a TV show though since it’s broken into eight episodes, my favorite of which was the last one titled Ants. I also really enjoyed the episode Uncle Bob. There were some episodes I didn’t really enjoy, however, my least favorite of which was by far A Friend Visits. As a whole, I enjoyed this, but there were a few moments that sort of unnerved me and I’m well aware that this is Lynch being Lynch and that his stuff is always gonna be weird and probably uncomfortable to watch at times, but some of the stuff in here just wasn’t my cup of tea at all. I did, however, love the musical number by the ants in the last episode, the flashing lights, the black comedy throughout, and OF COURSE the farts!!!!! This was super duper funny at points and that’s why I love David Lynch so much. All in all, there were certain things I loved and other things I hated, but as a whole, this was a fun watch.
