every time i watch this film, i always love how fred says, “i like to remember things my own way. how i remembered them, not necessarily the way they happened.” after that one line, i couldn’t stop questioning whether anything i was seeing in the film was actually real or if it was just how fred chose to remember it. it makes the entire plot feel unreliable because we’re experiencing everything through the perspective of an unreliable narrator + character.…
