Obsession
Literally just came out of the theatre and i'm devastated... it's true that no other genre does it like horror.
First of all, if Inde Navarette doesn't win or at least gets an oscar nomination for this performance, someone will get hurt.
Bear was diabolical. Such a selfish asshole. He didn't care about her at all, he just cared that she didn't LOVE him in that way. A very significant scene that makes you clearly understand what kind of man he is is when he realises Nikki isn't herself, that his wish somehow became real, and the shot after is of him having sex with her which could very much be considered as SA.
When she begged him to kill her, his only thought was about himself. His friend told him so many times that he thought he was taking adavantage of her because she was in a vulnerable state and, STILL, he never once acknowledged that (or at least not until he realised his own life was in danger but he still never took the blame for that.) And after all he's done, he still had the audacity to almost cheat on "her" which just shows how he actually just LOVES the idea of being liked by someone and getting all of their attention.
Even at the end, he died because he couldn't have stopped it anymore but you could see it on his face, he didn't give a fuck as long as SHE was all about him, as long as he was happy because he got what he wished for.
Also it's crazy that feom his POV Nikki was the one OBSESSED with him but we all know that his OBSESSION for her turned her into that.
