Incendies
I'm going to need 15 years to sit in silence and think about this.
Incendies takes you on a search for the truth and doesn't shy away from the pain that comes with it. This film is like a thousand blades to the heart. A deeply intricate story about love, culture, war, and family.
With the film beginning with Radiohead's "You and whose army?", I knew I was in for 2 hours of goosebumps. And it delivered. There are so many scenes in this film that leave you with your jaw dropped, eyes wide open, and with a sincere feeling of doom & despair. It's been almost an hour since I watched it, and I'm still in shock.
Beautiful. Gutwrenching. Cinematic masterclass.
