Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

This confuses me. The animation is amazing, perfect adaptation of the graphic novels, and the voice cast being exactly the same as the movie is great. I don't understand why they chose to do something different to the original story. What they made is good, like the story is decent, but I genuinely don't understand why they didn't just directly adapt the original story. Its a weird one. Enjoyable watch though.
