Look Back
Anime films have NO reason to be like the saddest films I've ever watched in my existence.
This one was genuinely so sad and I thought it did so well at showing like dependency in friendships and struggles in some industries and different routes in the future.
I think Kyomoto and Fujino's friendship was so relatable to some I've had in the past where going down different routes and quitting something they've been doing in such a long time leads into arguments.
I think it does an amazing job at showing the guilt behind Fujino and how she blames the whole death on her own actions even though it was loosely related as I feel this is a situation that many people can relate.
I think this film is so nostalgic to me because I did my art GCSE on Tatsuki Fujimoto primarily Goodbye, Eri and Look Back and even bought the manga even though I had never read or watched it. I think after all that the artistry is still so impressively animated and I love the sketchy edges to make it really feel like an anime about art and the process.
