*“in the bleak midwinter” * Peaky blinders is a show that constantly changes identities throughout the seasons, it ranges from decent to amazing tv and whilst this film can’t tie everything up completely perfectly it still satisfied me. I still think it’s a genuine shame that a lot of the plot lines and characters from s5 were never followed up on but that falls on s6 and the major character that gets off screened here isn’t a great development but i understand why they had to do it. It always felt like a natural endpoint to peaky blinders would be WW2 and i’m happy it turned out to be the case, not as happy as i am they’ve finally given the main protagonist some closure as i’ve never seen a guy suffer more 😭
