*This review may contain spoilers.* I rarely write reviews of movies, but this one really has a lot to say. First of all, this movie is a critique of our society and of how the legal system has gone to hell and okay, but what’s truly embarrassing is how it delivers this critique while idolizing the savior, the man who will save us from the clutches of the “bad” immigrants. I also noticed that it often draws inspiration from *The Punisher*, so it’s all about taking the law into your own hands and resorting to a lot of violence. This movie heavily stereotypes Muslim culture, speaking superficially about the major flaws in this religion. As an Ex-Muslim, I’d say this movie is a sea of shit full of stereotypes about Muslims but above all, about immigrants in general (The protagonist has no papers so basically he is an imigrant—no papers, no residency—but whatever, he gets a pass because he’s the savior.) But now let’s start talking about all the embarrassing things about this movie Starting with the first 5 minutes, a news program which is supposed to be neutral in reporting information begins to idolize a vigilante, promoting senseless violence and endorsing truly questionable methods. It then moves on to interviewing people who support what he’s doing, and finally gives the floor to a young man who speaks highly of the “vigilante,” praising him for doing the right thing while ignoring the work the police are supposed to be doing. The only thing I agree with this jerk on is his reflection on war at the beginning, when he says that we’re all just pieces on a board and that we’ll never see presidents like Biden or Trump go to war. Its pretty funny, considering that this movie was sponsored by Elon Musk—and until recently, Elon Musk and Trump were kissing each other’s asses. Before watching this movie, I thought it was a satirical film, but I was wrong—it’s highly propagandistic, promoting backward and narrow-minded ideologies. Even though this movie was presented as “the film the government doesn’t want you to see,” there must be a reason why it was banned from all movie theaters in Germany. At the beginning of the movie, we're introduced to two main characters: the “good guy” and the “bad guy.” The “good guy” is John Punisher (the vigilante), and the “bad guy” is Chief Henry (who, I noticed, was the only one who made any sense). Then there are the supporting characters, who, as I noticed, have no personality or acting skills whatsoever. Throughout the entire movie, it just seemed like a rehash of scenes meant to pad out the runtime and amp up the tension—but the only thing they did was make me bored and disinterested, and several times I wanted to pause the movie to play Helldivers. Plus, this movie is a slap in the face to victims of sexual violence—not the way they portrayed them, especially at the end of the film. Why do I say this? Because the actor who plays Sanders (John Punisher) was accused in 2021 of sexual assault, and there were even messages circulating where he wrote about sexual fantasies involving cannibalism and multiple women—oh, but look, now he’s playing a vigilante who kills rapists, just like Armie Hammer, the actor who played John Punisher. This movie is the scum of society. There would be so many things to say, but I’ll limit myself to mentioning the ones that bothered me the most I'd like to give it 0 stars, but I can't, so I'll just give it half a star
