i guess im not as fluent as i thought i was in english because i couldnt understand a WORD theyre saying while i myself am not religious and dont relate to this directly (i mean, what it stands for not the part where theres a homophobic demon displayed as my greatest desire) this is a beautiful take and metaphor on the evils of religion and conversion theraphy. queer youth is being killed and damaged from hate every single day and i think this is a beautifully written story. that was probably the roughest makeout session since brokeback mountain. one of the rare instances where a movie actually unsettles and scares me quite a bit.
