i just really enjoy something that's a little weird, a little off-kilter, and this has just enough of that, anchored by some great performances and a bunch of really fun characters

i keep going back and forth on where to rank this, but it's been days and i still can't stop thinking about that score. the piano, discordant as it felt sometimes, is just plain fucking good. no matter what was happening, it kept you locked in and on edge. does perfectly exactly what i love so much about <i>dunkirk.</i> have to give props where it's due.

for better or worse (mostly worse) this feels eeirly similar to my last relationship, and it hits very close to home on that basis. this one is undeniable
