Prisoners
"They didn't cry until I left them."
I've watched this film 5 times now. I don't know why I never logged this here though. This film defines the essence of suspense, mystery and linger. Having watched Villeneuve's Dune and the sequel in a matter of three days, I thought of coming to this for a rewatch and showed it to a friend who has never watched this, and it remains profound as ever. A kind of a perfect film for me, with the best protagonist duo you can imagine with Dano. Soundtrack and the background music were amazing too. A doubt comes to your mind when only 30 minutes are left of the runtime and you wonder how will this end now? And it does, beautifully, and didn't feel rushed even a little. The writing and the acting, gorgeous and totally believable. I might just say, this is a perfect film. No flaws that I can think of.
Gyllenhaal's Hair. Oof! Totally a dream.
