I have the same issues with this movie as I do the original, but this one is longer with maybe slightly more interesting character development, yet still lacking with its background characters. This movie also drags so much more why is it so long

take a shot every time someone gets shot (you’ll die of alcohol poisoning). Thought the movie was good, I think while the characters are memorable enough, there isn’t anything super interesting happening with this movie. I think the parallelism between Tony and his sister is the most interesting part, and is explored but maybe not a much as I’d like.

quite perfect I think this arc quite brilliantly shows Gege’s ability to write focused character arcs, which I think gets lost somewhere along the way. What makes this time and place so tragic is that this is BY FAR the most interesting time/setting and has BY far the most interesting characters, but we know it has to end, because it is just a memory. We know that Geto leaves and yet there’s nothing lost on the scene where he does leave, it is still devastating. Oh and Shoko is the best she’s my fav
