i've been put off watching this film for months now and i dont know why, suddenly today i clicked on this film. mind you, all i know going into this is that it's a film about a director. but today this film hits hard, it's the feeling of making something cause you have to. the feeling of trying to prove yourself not only to the world but to yourself.  me knowing that orson welles made citizen kane when he was 26 years old, and this film reminded me. im almost 20, it's not that it's a race against time but i assumed that im supposed to be there or close to being what i want to be and what i want to make. this film really is a wake up call.
