im not gonna be pretentious here and say that i understand every symbols and meanings in this film. i barely can piece together the lost surface level story of this film. but for being confusing this is, this film is one of the most iconic film of it's decade. the iconic shots and scenes are one of the most horrifying images in horror films. at the heart of it all is the generational trauma, and how family and different people cope with trauma and grief. the performances in this film drives this. Toni Collete gave maybe one of the best performance of that decade and one of the best performance in an horror film. Her voice, her speach, her faces are amazing. i cant believe im saying this for a horror film since im a coward boy, but im gonna need to see this again soon.
