Longlegs
watched this with my girlfriend, i got scared cause i thought it's gonna be an arthouse slow burn film with no jumpscares whatsoever, which i like, but she'll be so bored. but 2 or 3 mins it proved me wrong.
the most scariest aspect of this film for me is it's camera placement and framing, it's is framed in a way that it makes you want to look at all of the corners of the frame and beyond that just so you would anticipate a scare. the cutting doesn't help as well.
nic cage in this film looks so horrifying and the damn voice creeps me out so much, maika did enough of what the film needs but the restraint she has and nuance makes her character feel fleshed out.
