i solely watched this on my work lunch breaks over 3 sittings so i had a lot of time to digest this movie - i really dont get why people find this movie so crass or off-putting - highlights: anytime nellie was on-screen, brad lambasting katherine waterston for not enjoying 🤌art🤌, and ofc manny in the theater at the end. kinda brought a tear to my eye thinking abt a world lost forever - ok honorable mention for tobey’s line delivery at “we were gonna make movies together 🙁” yeah sure it could’ve gone deeper but i think it would’ve ended up being too wistful and i think chazelle struck a good balance here overall
