The Florida Project
Oh to be a kid again running around getting into trouble with no worries and sense of realization of all of the serious stuff going on around.
The Florida Project is one of the most beautiful yet emotionally packed films I've seen to date. Really raw emotions are all throughout, it's almost like a documentary how well this depicts the struggle of young adulthood, growing up financially unstable, and just the care free feeling of being a kid.
Sean Baker does a masterful job here, from the overall feel, direction, cinematography and vibrant colors, I loved what he did here. Willem Dafoe with another phenomenal performance here, quite possibly his most contrasting role comparatively to what we usually see him as, but wonderfully casted and he brings a real comforting presence to this film.
This is a very heartbreaking movie as it could even feel relatable in certain moments, even in the times of light, there's still a dim of sadness pulled deep behind the curtain. The ending to this especially moved me, I think it was absolutely perfect and understanding the change that happened towards the end it was very powerful the way it all came together.
