Black Swan
One of the best movies I've seen this year, soo good. Perfect actually iykyk.
Natalie Portmans best peformace by far maybe one of the best peformances this century. Portraying fragility so perfect while also nailing those darker scenes on such an perfect level is smth you don't see often at all.
This movie deals so good with anxiety, greed and gives so many good scenes that tell either trauma response or anxiety so well some psychological way with metaphors in those weird scenes that just nail it without saying anything about the movie for spoilers. It’s like Birdman execpt imo even better.
Mila Kunis, expected to hate you but you never can make me hate you this character was so well written. Story even shows Nina (Portman) flaws so good that in some scene she is the cvnt herself. Winona Ryder nailed her 6/7 (67?!) min of screentime. My Goat Sebastian Stan as well. Only had 2/3 minutes of screentime but I didn't know he was in it that made it so much better.
Every peformance in this movie was really peakk. Not only Natalie, Mila and Winona but also Barbara Heshey who was absolutely incredible and ESPECIALLY Vincent Cassel who just knocked it out of the park. He really gave me in a way, and I know this character is different in a whole different way than him but he gave me Fletcher (JK Simmons) vibes from Whiplash. Vincent Cassel I am definitely going to watch La Haine for you.
Is this movie perfect, there is no perfect movie. But this movie may be among those damn near perfect ones. Hit the target, moral of the story, visuals, peformances. Darren Aranofsky goated fr, I will check requeim for a dream out asap.
O yeah and I learned where I knew the score from ofcourse, its from the Swan play.....
