DAMN I LOVE THIS MOVIE SUCH A FUCKIN MASTERPIECE Especially after forgetting some twists to the specifics because its been exactly three years and I remembered that I loved it but not fully understood it back then when I was 12, talking about the ending because I did not understand the totem rule correctly. Which made this 100000x better to get to do the rewatch!! This movie brings sci fi to its highest level because of the layered writing, beautiful symbolism and character driven arcs. Not just the sci fi, also the impeccable storytelling. Tom Hardy’s Eames is such a fk goat. Never remember a single special thing about Eames but he definitely has become one of my fav characters. The only thing that this movie maybe lacks is the nailed romance. I get Nolans criticism he gets on this topic. Its not horrible but not 10/10. But who tf cares because every movie is imperfect. That just makes it near or just perfect. Talking about my Odyssey rabbit hole (im sorry to drag yall in here again like with Troy). This movie just illustrates what Nolan can achieve narratively, visually and on scale. If one movie may not convince you of this level I highly you recommend watching The Batman trilogy of him, Prestige, Interstellar ofcourse and Oppenheimer. Hot take but Im not a big Mememto fan. Not a hater but its okay. Nothing more and nothing less…… Just saying genre defying does this move come short. Its without any doubt one of the better movies ever made. Pushes limits of cinema and what it does to you, feeling of grandiosity!!
