Knives Out
This movie might have the best original screenplay of the century period. Rian Johnson is an absolute genius and rewatching this movie might have made the clues more obvious but my admiration for the guy increased so much because seriously, how tf can you even think of a mystery as original as this one.
I mean Im ignoring the obviously marvelous cast and perfect autum aesthetic that made me want to rewatch it rn. Because I want to emphasize on Rians vision and skill to take care of every single little detail.
I wont spoil but some plotpoints or twist will reoccur and come full circle through dialogue but there are multiple incredible scenes and action that have taken place by the end that make thing so ironically funny and so fk clever. Also the political and rich folks aspect made things so much more ironically funnier. Being an immigrant or being a fk moron of a neonazi.
I love how Rian has used to items as the metaphor for the murder and I certainly hope he does it again in the new upcoming sequel. I also hope that the set design is as incredible next chapter than it was in this iteration and the sequel.
I have seen some crazy ratings for the upcoming one and I am genuinely quite excited. Ryan Johnson takes a lot of time and care for this franchise so I really do hope we get an astonishingly great Benoit again. Because he really has become a quite iconic character.
No but really ppl do need to give Ryan Johnson more credit because how does he even come up with incredible ways to conceptualize a new murder. Btw next edition might be full of the best cast yet. But either three are really debatable. There all phenomenally well casted.
Live love laugh Benoit.
(O yeah btw Meg might be the real underrated goat of all these pricks, real and so incredibly stunning too lowkey)
