This movie might be one of my favourites of the year. And if you were to say to me that a horror movie would be in my top of the year I would've said you are lying. This and Sinners show that a horror movie can be incredible narrative and cinematic wise. Not just an attraction of adrenaline. Julia Garner knocked it out of the park, she played this character so well and Gregger wrote her character so well, a real flawed ''hero''. Also Brolin his peformance was awesome. really liked Benedict Wong andAlden Ehrenreich in it too. Amy Madigan as Gladys was soo terrifying she really knocked it out of the park. I did not really know what to expect because I skipped all trailers which btw, made it so much better. therefore I was really suprised and excited when I knew they were telling this movie from all characters their perspective. And everything not only added up but took some fun twist seeing the same scenes from their standpoint. What makes this so great is that is feel so fresh and original. It being a Horror-adjacent movie as I would call it contributes so fk much because I am not a big fan of horror movies because they serve an different purposen often that is basically to scare people and let the audience feel their adrenaline flowing through their body. But in this movies just like Sinners, here and there there were some jumpscares and creepy scenes but they were not full of it and they contributed so well in this story. I think because I recently have seen Eddington, Birdman and Black Swan this flow really gave me momentum in watching those weird ''unexplainable scenes'' but in comparison to Birdman and Black Swan there was an explaination for it and it wasn't meant metaphorically (doesn't mean that literally is better, either great in their own way). Zach Gregger you did an amazing job and for that I will check Barbarian out against all my earlier thoughts on starting that movie. I am kind of curious what your Batman pitch would have looked like on screen hearingthat news item. Anyways, Its fk awesome check it out pls
