Blue Moon

I'm not familiar with Linklater beyond [](http://letterboxd.com/film/school-of-rock/)School of Rock so watching the new Blue Moon is hopefully to get me more into his filmography and this film is wonderful. It feels rather inspired by Casablanca, as it is even mentioned and quoted in the film, which makes the vibes of this film something remarkably beautiful. Blue Moon has always been a favourite song of mine as American Werewolf is one of my favourite films so the film centering around not just the writer of the song and the song itself but also being named after the song is amazing for me. It feels very fair for Ethan Hawke to be nominated for best actor because he is truly deserving of it, being even a bit unrecognisable. A very simple one-location romance that is super engaging. Recommended.
